I became a therapist because I saw a real need in the community. When my son needed a therapist, I quickly realized how difficult it was to find someone available to help right away. That experience opened my eyes and inspired me to step into the mental health field so I could support others facing similar challenges.
I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from UTRGV and bring both professional experience and personal understanding to the work I do. My background in teaching and experience with autism and learning disabilities allow me to connect with clients in a way that is compassionate, practical, and tailored to their unique needs.
In my sessions, I use a person-centered approach combined with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My goal is always to meet clients where they are and help them build the tools they need to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other life challenges.
I work with clients of all ages and believe that therapy is for everyone. My hope is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel understood, encouraged, and equipped to handle life’s struggles with confidence.
Outside of work, I love to cook, bake, and spend time with my family. If I had to describe myself in three words, I’d say I’m caring, kind, and protective.
If you’ve ever thought about starting therapy but felt hesitant, my advice is simple: therapy is for everyone. Reaching out doesn’t mean you’re weak—it means you’re strong enough to take the first step toward healing.
pHILOSOPHY
My philosophy is to meet clients exactly where they are and walk with them toward where they want to be. Every person has different needs, experiences, and strengths, so therapy should be flexible and client-centered. I believe in helping people build a “toolbox” of coping skills and strategies they can use when life gets hard, empowering them to feel capable and resilient.
